The Savannah State University College of Sciences & Technology's Outreach & Career Development Office (SSU COST O&CD) delivers services for students and graduates, by impacting success in the job market in the STEM disciplines, as well as sustaining active learning opportunities and scholarly involvement for SSU COST undergraduates. In addition, SSU COST O&CD continues to provide early exposure to STEM programs and scholarly opportunities for K-12 pipeline participants.
The direct support to student development and enhancement supports and impacts the university’s capacity building, comparative advantage, persistence and image. SSU COST O&CD will continue to advance increased awareness and recognition of the role the university and the society-at-large have to play in improving the pipeline to SSU STEM programs.
SSU COST O&CD will continue to build partnerships with local industries, K-12 teachers, parents, and students, and community agencies, to broaden the participation of minority students in STEM related competitions and scholarly activities.
