Re-Admit Tigers

Students must re-admit if they fall under any of the following categories:

  1. Student has not attended SSU in more than three semesters (including Summer).
  2. Student graduated with a Bachelor's degree and is returning for a second Bachelor's degree or is a non-degree seeking post baccalaureate student.
  3. Student was academically suspended in the last semester enrolled at SSU. Please also submit a letter to ssu-registrar@savannahstate.edu explaining your appeal to return.

To submit your application for readmission, please complete the following steps:

  1. Login to the READMIT APPLICATION using your Student ID and PAWS pin.
    (NOTE: If you do not remember your Student ID or PAWS pin, please complete the RETURN TO SSU INTEREST FORM and we will contact you with next steps.)
  2. Select Application Type: READMIT. 
  3. Submit your official transcripts from all  previously attended college or university. Please have your official transcript sent to ssu-registrar@savannahstate.edu or admissions@savannahstate.edu.  
  4. Verification of Lawful Presence
    In accordance with Board of Regents Policy 4.3.4, all applicants who are accepted for admission to Savannah State University and who seek to be classified as in-state for tuition purposes, will be required to provide validation of residency and lawful presence in both the State of Georgia and the United States. Acceptance to Savannah State University may be delayed until lawful presence is verified.

    Please submit one of the following documents to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@savannahstate.edu: 

    • Certified U.S. Birth Certificate (no photocopies)
    • Consular Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240)
    • Current U.S. Passport
    • GA Driver's License (issued after 1/1/2008) Optional: Take a snapshot of your GA Driver's License and attach to email.
    • GA ID Card (issued after 1/1/2008)
    • U.S. Certificate of Birth Abroad issue by Dept. of State (DS-1350)
    • U.S. Certificate of Citizenship (USCIS form N-560 or N-561)
    • U.S. Certificate of Naturalization (USCIS form N-550 or N-570)

  5. A complete Certificate of Immunization is required for all Transient applicants. This form needs to be submitted to immunizations@savannahstate.edu.  
  6. Check your readmission status here.
