S.T.R.I.P.E.S. Program

The STRIPES Program provides students the opportunity to participate in community/volunteer services and attend extracurricular seminars to assist with academic, personal, professional, and leadership development. STRIPES participation is documented and archived allowing students to retrieve a co-curricular transcript detailing their commitment to community service and personal development outside the classroom. Approved STRIPES events are posted on the @SSUSTRIPES social media pages (Instagram).

Leadership Development

The CSLD Center provides learning opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills and professional preparation throughout their enrollment.  Students can schedule appointments to complete leadership assessments, receive advisement on leadership decisions, or to participate in self-directed leadership activities. The CSLD Center also sponsors a variety of leadership trainings and extended leadership institutes throughout the year.

Alumni Engagement

Services are also available to SSU alumni for assistance in job searches, career coaching, and additional professional resources for professional development. The CSLD Center also works in collaboration with the Alumni Relations Office to provide a network for future graduates and to call upon alumni to speak on panels and in classes. Alumni are often called upon to assist with mock interviews and other extracurricular programming and to represent their corporations and agencies at the Career & Graduate School Fair each semester.
