Refund FAQ's

Am I eligible to receive a refund?

Please check your PAWS account to see if there is a credit balance on your account. Remember, a credit is the amount of payments that exceeds the amount due on your account.

When will I receive my refund?

Refund dates will not be posted anymore...

You will receive your refund within 14 days of the credit being disbursed to your student account. Please be advised that disbursed is when the funds show in the "Terms Credits/Anticipated Credits" section on the right side of your schedule/bill.

How will I get my refund?

Your refund will be processed using the method you have selected via www.RefundSelection.com or your OneAccount. Remember, you must select your refund preference with BankMobile (formerly Higher One) to receive your funds through electronic transfer to an existing bank account, deposit into a BankMobile Vibe account, or by check that is mailed to you using USPS.

Will my refund be delayed?

Your refund could be delayed by 3 weeks if you do not have your refund preference set up with BankMobile.

Can I change my refund preference?

Yes. You can change your refund preference by logging into your account at www.RefundSelection.com, click the "Refunds" menu option, and select "Refund Preferences". Make your new selection and click "Update Preference" to complete the process. Please note that your preference change will only affect future refunds.

I am not on financial aid. Do I have to activate my refund preference?

Refunds may result from financial aid credits, schedule changes, and many other factors. You are strongly encouraged to activate your refund preference to ensure you are eligible to receive a refund in the future.

I withdrew from one of my classes. Will I get a refund?

No. There are no refunds for partial withdrawals. You must drop a class during the drop/add period published on the academic calendar to get 100% refund and no grade.

How can I update my parent PLUS loan refund mailing address?

Parents must e-mail the address update to finaid@savannahstate.edu, with a copy of their ID, from the e-mail address listed on their parent loan application.

How can I allow my parent PLUS loan refund to go to the student?

Parents must e-mail the parent PLUS to student refund preference to finaid@savannahstate.edu, with a copy of their ID, from the e-mail address listed on their parent loan application.

I have not received my BankMobile personal code. What should I do?

If you have not received a BankMobile Refund Selection kit within 2-3 weeks of your first registration of classes, please visit www.RefundSelection.com to check the status of your packet. Your personal code may also be obtained from the e-mail sent to your Savannah State email address. If you have not received your refund selection envelope in the mail and cannot access your Savannah State e-mail to retrieve your personal code, please e-mail our office at cashier@savannahstate.edu or visit the Cashier's Office for assistance.

I have not received my BankMobile Vibe card. What should I do?

If you have selected to use the BankMobile Vibe account as your refund preference, please visit www.RefundSelection.com to check the status of your card. If your card is not received in 7 to 10 business days after opening your account please contact BankMobile at 1.877.327.9515.

Where are the BankMobile ATMs located?
