Network Admission Control
Welcome to Network Admission Control
Network Admission Control (NAC) is a network security system used to secure the campus wireless network and the residential network through user authentication, policy-based traffic filtering, and Clean Access vulnerability assessment and remediation. NAC uses a Clean Access Agent to block vulnerabilities such as viruses and worms from the network by ensuring computer systems meet established configuration requirements.
NAC performs the following validation checks:
- Anti-virus Software Installed
- Up-to-date Anti-virus Definitions
- Anti-spyware Software Installed
- Windows Service Packs Installed
- Microsoft Critical Updates Installed
