Students - COVID-19 Protocols (UPDATED 08-15-2022)
The following protocols will help streamline the necessary notifications and contact tracing if you have tested positive for COVID-19 OR have been in close contact (exposure) with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. If you have any questions, email ssucovid-19@savannahstate.edu
Residential Student Isolation/Quarantine Protocols:
There is a change to the COVID-19 housing protocol for residential students who test positive for COVID-19. Due to renovations of University Village, on-campus isolation space is very limited. As a result, residents who test positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to stay in their residence hall during their isolation period and must return to their primary residence (home) to isolate themselves. If your permanent address is outside of a 300-mile radius from SSU, only under the rarest of circumstances can University Housing arrangements be considered for students to stay during isolation.
Tested Positive:
- Email CARES Team (ssucovid-19@savannahstate.edu ) to inform them of your status.
- Self-isolate for 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the date of the positive test).
