Development

Often student do not have ample opportunities to develop leadership skills in the classroom and laboratory settings. To provide students with such an important opportunity, the Division of Student Affairs has launched the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program. The program's purposes are:

  1. To prepare students for leadership roles and responsibilities;
  2. To help students explore and develop personal philosophies of leadership;
  3. To explore the foundations of leadership, especially ethical practices in leadership, moral leadership, character and value development, and theoretical foundations of leadership; and
  4. To help students understand and participate in service-learning, servant-leadership, and volunteerism.
