Sisters Striving for Excellence

Sisters Striving for Excellence was founded on July 24th, 2001 by Ms. Tawana Gibbs, Ms. Felicia Kidd, and Ms. Ashley Scott. These three forward-thinking young ladies saw a need in the Savannah State University community for an organization that focused on strengthening the relationships between collegic women and to help prepare the young women for a professional environment after college. SSE is built upon the values of sisterhood, professionalism, and community service. It is our belief throughout our organization that once you become a part of something, it then becomes a part of you.
