Teaching has been a large part of my life since 1989. I enjoy teaching mathematics and gain great satisfaction from seeing my students learning different ways of thinking about mathematical notions and problems. The fact that mathematics has so many applications from the day-to-day use of basic math skills, to the intricacies of applying calculus to engineering and business models, to the abstract concepts that keep our computers running, shows that the field is an exciting one which has such a profound impact on everything we do. I believe that there is nothing more rewarding than sharing knowledge. I have been teaching mathematics in a variety of settings for more than a decade and half. I began teaching in the Fall of 1989 at the Senior Secondary High school in Ethiopia after I received my BSc in Mathematics. Since then, I have taught a wide range of subjects in colleges, universities in a wide range of environments, in both small and large class sizes.

Research Interests

Applied mathematics in Biology with application of combinatorics and graph theory. I have interest to do research on formal languages in natural computing and complex variables and number theory.
