Biography

In August 2006, Dr. Andreou joined the faculty of Savannah State University as an Assistant Professor where he currently teaches RETP (Regents Engineering Transfer Program) courses and involved in undergraduate research. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in August 2012. Prior to that Dr. Andreou joined the Georgia Southern University faculty as an Assistant Professor where he taught GTREP and RETP courses and worked in Matrix Difference Systems. After leaving the University of Arkansas in the summer of 1996, Dr. Andreou got his first academic job at New Mexico Highlands University as a Visiting Assistant Professor. There, he had the opportunity to guide students for several senior projects, worked in control systems research including fuzzy control and during summer 2001 he was a Visiting Scholar at Los Alamos National Laboratory where he worked on the design and implementation of control systems for the Fenton Hill Observatory and Magdalena Ridge Observatory. He familiarized himself with the design and construction of stellar interferometers (physical stability, dynamic control and fringe tracking).
