Born in Greenville, SC, and Attended University of Maryland (BA), Oregon State University(MA), and The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (PhD). My doctoral work and ongoing studies include the teaching of writing and the history of rhetoric.

Research Interests

Writing Program Administration, Composition and Composition history, professionalism in English Studies, the Organic Metaphor of Writing Since Coleridge.
