Marques D. Graham, an eminent music educator, is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of South Carolina State University earning a bachelor's degree in Music Education, he also holds a Masters of Science Degree in education. Graham has served as a Band Director and Professor of Music for 17 years.
Currently, Graham serves as an Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Savannah State University. The instrumental program at Savannah State University includes Symphonic/Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and several other Chamber Ensembles.
In addition to serving as a music educator, Graham has served as a clinician, consultant, and adjudicator for band competitions throughout the United States. He has composed and arranged music for several universities and high schools bands. He also has several published marching band arrangements.
As an educator, Marques Graham believes that spiritual growth is vital to academic success, personal and professional growth. Additionally, he desires to improve the field of music education by researching and integrating technology that can be used to improve communication, organization, and performance in instrumental music programs.
