Biography

As of Fall 2017, Dr. Joseph Krupka is an Associate Professor of Accounting (Scholarly Academic) at Savannah State University. Dr. Krupka relocated back to the east coast in the Fall of 2015 after serving as an Graduate Assistant Professor of Accounting at Texas A & M University Commerce. Dr. Krupka’s prior academic experience includes accounting faculty positions at Georgia Southwestern State University; the College of Coastal Georgia; Coastal Carolina University; and Rutgers University. His professional career outside of academia includes maintaining a successful CPA and financial services practice and licensed Registered Principal (Securities License Series 24). Dr. Krupka has attained professional designations including: Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Dr. Krupka has been actively involved with several organizations including the American Accounting Association (AAA), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), various state CPA societies (GA, SC, NJ and TX), National Association of Tax Practitioners (NATP) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Dr. Krupka earned his Doctorate in Business Administration at Georgia State University, J. Mack Robinson School of Business; a Master’s of Science Degree in Accounting from Binghamton University; and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).

Research Interests

Tax and accounting ethics both from the professional side and academic side. CSR and TBL. Academic Dishonesty.
