Biography

Armed with almost 20 years as a choral director, music educator, and vocalist, Jacquelyn Hamilton is currently serves as Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at Savannah State University (Savannah, GA). She was recently inducted as a board member for SONATA, a performing arts organization for youth in Savannah. Prior to moving to southeast Georgia, Hamilton served as the Department Head of Choral Activities and Department Head of the Performing Arts at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy (Atlanta, GA), Director of the Carol Choir and Music Instructor for First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta (Atlanta, GA), and is currently in her 10th year as Director of Music and vocal coach for Grammy Award winning R&B artist Usher Raymond's youth organization, New Look Foundation. Hamilton earned her Bachelors and Masters of Music from Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, GA).
