Biography

My name is Ivy Y. Brannen, I am a native of Savannah, Georgia. I obtained my Masters in library science May 2010, and was hired June 2011 as the Circulation/Administrative Services Librarian at Savannah State University/Asa H. Gordon Library. I am also the liaison for the School of Education. Specifically, I assist professors in the SOTE with education resources and providing library instruction for their students. During my free time, I enjoy going to the movies, reading, writing, traveling, shopping, cooking/baking, and most of all, spending time with family. If you were to ask someone what do they think of me? They would say that I am a great mom, a great friend, hardworking, and very ambitious. Summer 2013, I was accepted in the Ed.D. program at Georgia Southern University with an emphasis in Curriculum Studies. Upon completing the program, I plan to use all the knowledge and skills I have learned to help me progress in my career at Savannah State University.
