International Students

Welcome to Savannah State University, home to a growing population of international students. Whether you are looking to start or complete your bachelor's degree or one of our challenging master's degree programs, we know that you will be filled with new challenges and opportunities that will help you achieve your academic goals.

Savannah State University has students from Ghana, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Canada, The Bahamas, Austria, France, India, Ukraine, Columbia, Trinidad & Tobago, Russia, Tunisia, Canada and South Korea and has an active International Student's Association.

International students wishing to attend Savannah State on an F-1 visa or who will need an F-1 visa to study in the US must complete a supplemental application (available below). Students who do not need an I-20 should complete the regular admissions application.

You must be able to provide documentation that you can have funds to cover at least one year of the costs of educational and living expenses.

Undergradute tuition and fees

International students are allowed to work on campus, but there is no guarantee that employment opportunities will be available and the earnings from these positions will not provide a significant means of support.

International students do not qualify for federal or state financial aid. Savannah State University does offer a limited number of Out of State tuition waivers to undergraduate students. These waivers allow the recipient to pay in state tuition rates. The number of waivers varies each year and the competition for them is tough. International Students are strongly encouraged to search for additional scholarship opportunities.
