PeopleSoft 9.2 Ongoing Upgrades

PeopleSoft Financials update successfully applied to production

PeopleSoft Financials Update 5.40 was successfully applied to production (FPROD). These systems are now available:

GeorgiaFIRST PeopleSoft Financials production (FPROD)
ePro

The system cache was cleared as part of the release process, so initial performance may be slower than normal the first time you use the application after the release.

Clearing Browser Cache
ITS recommends that all users clear their Temporary Internet Files (browser cache) before logging back into the system. It is highly recommended that all users clear their browser cache often, especially after an update is applied to the Production database. Instructions are attached on how to clear your browser cache

New Instructions for Accessing GeorgiaFIRST
University System of Georgia (USG) institutions currently using GeorgiaFIRST Financials will be required to use Single Sign-on (SSO) Authentication to access all PeopleSoft Financials services.

SSO is already required to log in and access other services (e.g., OneUSG Connect - Payroll) using your local credentials (i.e., ID and password) assigned by SSU ITS Department.

You will use those same credentials to log in to GeorgiaFIRST Financials i.e. ePro.
When you log in to a service using SSO, you will be able to log in to other services using SSO without having to re-enter your credentials.

Prior to logging into Financials for the first time following release 5.40, all active GeorgiaFIRST users should complete the following steps:

Delete all existing GeorgiaFIRST Financials browser bookmarks/favorites.
Create a new browser bookmark/favorite to the GeorgiaFIRST Financials website: usg.edu/gafirst-fin/.
Use the available sign in options on the right side of the home page to access GeorgiaFIRST

These changes have already taken effect and will be the only way you can access the system. Please refer to this job aid for more information:

PeopleSoft Financials Update 5.30 will be applied from Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 7:00pm to Monday, December 4, 2017, at 7:00am. The following applications will not be available during this scheduled maintenance window:

GeorgiaFIRST PeopleSoft Financials production (FPROD)
ePro (Requisition Module)

The Annual Maintenance Release will introduce significant changes in PeopleSoft Financials in the user experience for both core and self-service users. A few of changes coming are:

Modern user interface for all devices including tablets, smartphones and desktop.
New Homepage
New Department Manager Dashboard

Microsoft Internet Explorer: 11.x or later versions (not compatible with ePro module)

Microsoft Edge: 25.10586 or later versions

Mozilla Firefox: 38.x or later versions

Note: You will need VPN access to access the site off-campus.
