Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

Saturday, November 3, 2018

Savannah State University will host a two-mile section of the full Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon course. Each year, hundreds come out to cheer the runners, hand out water, hold signs and show Tiger spirit.

Volunteers are needed to man Savannah State’s booth at the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon expo at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Two-hour shifts are available Thursday, November 1, 3-7 p.m., or Friday, November 2, noon-8 p.m.

Campus closure information:

In order to prepare for the course, cars parked on Alexis Circle after 7 p.m., Friday, November 2, will be towed. Cars will not be able to leave the University Village parking lots 6 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, November 3. Students that anticipate needing to leave during that window are encouraged to park in Tiger Arena or Student Union lots. Campus Security will open University Commons gates for exiting traffic during that time.
