CI Summer Camp Program

The Confucius Institute at Savannah State University summer camps to China are co-sponsored by the Confucius Institute and Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), and Jiujiang University, in the northern Jiangxi Province in China. 

 

The two-week summer camp program usually takes place in June for 10 days. Participants are involved in a variety of activities, including Chinese language study, hands-on workshops, social activities with local Chinese students and excursions to places with cultural and historical significance. The Confucius Institute Headquarters will cover the expenses associated with the official summer camp program, including local accommodation, meals, domestic transportation, courses and excursions included in the official program.

Participants will be responsible for their own international airfares, Chinese visa application fee, personal health and travel insurances, and personal expenditures, etc.

Prospective participants should meet the following criteria:

  1. citizen (has a valid U.S. passport);
  2. Valid University student ID;
  3. Interested in Chinese language and culture;
  4. Good health condition for international travel;
  5. Willing to participate in all summer camp activities and comply with the requirements and policies.
