Post-Baccalaureate Program

Individuals who have already earned a bachelor's degree and wish to acquire initial teacher licensure may do so as non-degree "Pedagogy-only" students.  Typically, certification takes 4 consecutive semesters to complete, with the last semester being dedicated to Student Teaching and Seminar.

Prior to the First Semester of Study, applicants MUST successfully complete the following:

  1. Pass or exempt the GACE Program Admission Examination
  2. Pass all parts of the applicable GACE Content Area Examinations
  3. Pass the Georgia Ethics Assessment (Program 360)
  4. Provide a copy of a Driver's License or Passport for Lawful Presence Verification
  5. Obtain a Georgia Pre-Service Application
Prior to the Fourth Semester of Study, teacher candidates MUST have:
  1. Earned the required 3.0 overall GPA
  2. Completed all field hours and submitted required documentation
  3. Obtained a Georgia Pre-Service Certificate

During the Fourth Semester of Study, teacher candidates MUST:

  1. Maintain the required 3.0 overall GPA
  2. Successfully complete teaching experience
