    Ga DOE
    The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) oversees public education throughout the state. It ensures that laws and regulations pertaining to education are followed and that state and federal money appropriated for education is properly allocated to local school systems.

    GaE
    The Georgia Association of Educators (or GAE, for short) is a professional organization for public education professionals.

    GAMLE
    Georgia Association for Middle Level Education is a leader for continuous improvement in the education of middle grade students through promoting exemplary educational practices, and offering support and resources to all Georgia middle grade educators.

    ITEEA
    The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) is the professional organization for technology, innovation, design, and engineering educators.

    NCTM
    The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is a public voice of mathematics education supporting teachers to ensure equitable mathematics learning of the highest quality for all students through vision, leadership, professional development and research.

    NSTA
    The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all.

    TEACH Grant Program

    The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides up to $4,000 a year in grant assistance to students who become teachers in a high-need field or a low-income area. In exchange for the grant, a student must sign an Agreement to Serve as a full-time teacher at certain low-income schools and within certain high-need fields for at least four academic years and within eight years after completing (or ceasing enrollment in) the course of study for which the candidate received a grant.
