At the beginning of each academic year, various university offices and programs collaborate to spearhead a New Student & Parent Orientation program.  The program is designed to introduce new students and their parents to the university..  Typically a three-day event, the program consists of formal and informal activities to indoctrinate students to the university's history, aims and purposes, current programs, and traditions.
