    Teacher Preparation Programs

    The Bachelor of Science (BS) programs with a Teacher Certification Track are only open to Noyce Scholarship students who are required to earn a Bachelor of Science in a content area with additional coursework in Teacher Education to receive that scholarship. Refer to Noyce Scholarship in the sidebar menu for additional eligibility requirements for this scholarship.

    Bachelor of Science in Biology (With a Secondary Teacher Education Certification Track)
    The Bachelor of Science degree in Biology develops effectiveness in communication, leadership, and other skills necessary to ensure the student is proficient in teaching at the secondary level (6-12). The degree provides students an opportunity to pursue the bachelor's degree in biology while preparing them to teach biology at the secondary level. The plan of study (the curriculum) requires a solid background of pedagogical preparation as well as essential content knowledge. A strong emphasis is placed on grade and content-relevant field experiences throughout the program. Teacher candidates will be required to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to have a positive impact on student achievement.

    Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (With a Secondary Teacher Education Certification Track)
    The Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics develops effectiveness in communication, leadership, and other skills necessary to ensure the student is proficient in teaching at the secondary level (6-12). The degree provides students an opportunity to pursue the bachelor's degree in mathematics while preparing them to teach mathematics at the secondary level. The curriculum in Mathematics is designed for those students who are interested in careers in mathematics, education or related fields (after graduation) in industry / government or in pursuing an advanced degree in mathematics, pure or applied. The plan of study (the curriculum) requires a solid background of pedagogical preparation as well as essential content knowledge. A strong emphasis is placed on grade and content-relevant field experiences throughout the program. Teacher candidates will be required to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to have a positive impact on student achievement.

    Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology (Track in Technology Education)
    The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology allows students to pursue an engineering technology major with a track in technology education. The technology education concentration develops effectiveness in technological literacy, leadership, and other skills necessary to ensure that students are proficient in teaching at the secondary level (P-12). Upon satisfactory completion of all requirements, students will be recommended for certification to teach in the Engineering and Technology career pathways in Georgia Public Schools and other secondary schools. Teacher candidates will be required to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to have a positive impact on student achievement.

    Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology (Track in Technology Education)
    The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology allows students to pursue an engineering technology major with a track in technology education. The technology education concentration develops effectiveness in technological literacy, leadership, professional disposition and other skills necessary to ensure that students are proficient in teaching at the secondary level (P-12). Upon satisfactory completion of all requirements, teacher candidates will be recommended for certification to teach in the Engineering and Technology career pathways in Georgia Public Schools and other secondary schools. Teacher candidates will be required to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to have a positive impact on student achievement.
