About Graduate Studies
Welcome to Savannah State University's Office of Graduate Studies. The oldest public historically black university in the State of Georgia, SSU is a Master's degree granting institution, and one of thirty-one degree-granting campuses in the University System of Georgia.
In its commitment to excellence and to sustain graduate programs of the highest quality, SSU's School of Graduate Studies holds memberships in the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS), the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools (CSGS), the Council of Historically Black Graduate Schools (CHBGS), and the Georgia Council of Graduate Schools (GCGS).
As you will discover over the course of your program, graduate study is a life-changing time of discovery and exploration in a specialized discipline. During your time at SSU, the graduate faculty will transform from teachers into mentors and into fellow colleagues.
