On-campus student employment is an important part of the day-to-day operations of the University.  It serves a two-fold purpose at SSU:

  • The University receives administrative office/clerical support
  • Students receive valuable work experience while earning income to supplement educational expenses.


Student Employment Hiring Procedure

  • The Student Applicant completes the Student Employment Application
  • The Supervisor completes the Student Contract and Certification form and submits it to the Budget Office for approval. 
  • The Student must complete all new hire documentation (Personal Data Sheet, Tax Forms and I-9 Verification form) in the Human Resources Department.
  • Human Resources will notify the Supervisor of the Student’s ADP/Employee ID number and Employee Self-Service Registration information.


***Note: The Supervisor must receive notification from Human Resources that the contract and all new hire documentation have been received/completed before the student can begin working.
