Dining Services Adjustments
Dining Services Until New Food Court Opens
Greetings, SSU Students! We are glad to have you with us this fall. We are looking forward to providing you with exciting new menu options at the Food Court in the new student center towards the end of September. Until that time, we have made the following adjustments to accommodate the number of students eating on campus. These will begin on Monday, August 8.
Carry Out in Dining Hall Students will be allowed to carry out meals from the dining hall until the new food court opens. You will be given a large and a small container, and a beverage cup. In addition, you may carry out one piece of fruit. You may pick up a bag at the cashier's desk on your way out of the cafeteria. Once you have received your carry out containers, you may not sit at the table in the cafeteria to eat a meal.
Extension of "Regular" Lunchtime The full lunch menu in the dining hall will be offered until 3:00 instead of 2:00, until the new food court opens. "Lite Lunch" will be served from 3:00-4:00.
Meal Equivalency Time Restrictions Lifted Until the new food court opens, you will be allowed to use your meal equivalency privileges at the Tiger Express Diner or the Tiger Caf at any time that location is open. You will still need to pay the difference between your purchase and the equivalency amount using cash, dining dollars, or flex funds. Meal equivalency amounts for this year are Breakfast - $3.75, Lunch - $5.25, Dinner - $5.45. Once the food court opens, we will provide you with information as to when and where meal equivalency restrictions will be in effect.
