Army ROTC tuition scholarships are valuable in many ways:
- Flexible options based on the time remaining to complete your degree
- Four-year scholarship
- Three-year scholarship
- Two-year scholarship
- Pays for your college tuition and fees OR room and board
- An associated stipend pays for living expenses
- Additional allowances pay for books
Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need.
There are three types of Army ROTC scholarships:
Four Year Scholarship
The 4-Year Scholarship is recommended for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program, or college freshmen in their first year of a five-year undergraduate plan. Contact your high school academic advisor or your Military Science department for more information. To qualify, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between the ages of 17 and 26
- Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50
- Have a high school diploma
- Must have scored at least a 920 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on active duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
The most competitive candidates for an Army ROTC 4-year scholarship will have a SAT score of 1100 an ACT score of 24. Apply online for an Army ROTC 4-Year Scholarship.
Two-year and Three-year Scholarships
The two-year and three-year scholarship are available for students already enrolled in a college or university with two or three academic years remaining.
To qualify, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between the ages of 17 and 30
- Have a college GPA of at least 2.50
- Have a high school diploma
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on active duty or in a Reserve Component ( U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
The Army ROTC scholarship at Eagle Battalion schools pays Full-Tuition-and-Fees, plus an annual book allowance of $1200 and monthly spending allowances (freshmen $350, sophomores $400, juniors $450 and seniors $500). Cadets also receive nominal pay, room and board, and reimbursement for travel expenses when participating in LDAC and other summer leadership development programs.
