I am a native of Savannah Georgia and currently serve as the Assistant to the Dean and Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. In this capacity I work to provide quality services, advisement, education and training to traditional and nontraditional learners. I teach (or have taught) the following undergraduate courses: Introduction to Psychology, Human Growth and Development and Global Issues; and the following graduate courses: Organization Theory and Behavior, Research Methods and Ethics. I have published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. I was honored in 2010 by the SSU Chapter of the National Council for Negro Women as a Living Legend for my support and mentoring of SSU students.
Further, I am a trained administrator, evaluator, and trainer/facilitator with experience in project management and evaluation, strategic planning, instruction, capacity building and curriculum development. I have assisted local and state governments with small business curriculum development, project management and program development and evaluation.
Research InterestsMy research interests include group dynamics, organizational behavior, social loafing, goal setting, stereotype threat and race, evaluation and task performance.
