Concentration Grids and Minor Information
The Department of Liberal Arts offers two major programs: the Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual and Performing Arts which includes concentrations in visual art, music, and theatre and dance.

Minor in Dance:
DNCE 2501
DNCE 3501 Dance History I OR DNCE 3502 Dance History II
Any three (3) DNCE courses at the 3000- or 4000 level
Minor in English:
Either ENGL 2104 or ENGL 2105
One course in African American Literature (any level)
Any three (3) other ENGL courses (not counted in Area A, C, F or elsewhere in the student’s grid)
* At least 9 of the 15 total hours in the English minor must be 3000- or 4000-level courses
Minor in Music:
MUSC 2121 Music History I
MUSC 2122 Music History II
Any three (3) MUSC courses at the 3000- or 4000 level
Minor in Theatre:
THEA 2101 Introduction to Theatre
THEA 4055 Theatre History I OR THEA 4056 Theatre History II
