Biography
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida where the beaches are gorgeous and the weather is warm throughout the seasons. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter, reading, singing, and exercising. Before becoming a psychology instructor, I was school psychologist in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina and Georgia. I have integrated the practical experiences and lessons of being a school psychologist into my psychology courses. I also have experiences developing functional behavior assessments, conducting psychological/educational evaluations, and providing group counseling. I have always been passionate about tapping into students’ diverse learning styles and facilitating critical thinking in the classroom. In the classroom, I try to create an atmosphere of intellectual engagement and cooperative learning.
