Information about BASA
The Behavior Analysis Student Association (BASA) is a student sponsored academic organization at Savannah State University
BASA's objectives are to:
- Promote interest in Behavior Analysis as a profession.
- Provide activities that focus on pre-professional preparation for careers in Behavior Analysis and related disciplines.
- Provide fellowship opportunities consistent with a collegial environment, pre-professional scholarly activities and social interaction.
As a student organization, we participate in and sponsor multiple volunteer, research, fundraising, and conference opportunities throughout the academic year.
Some of our past events have included:
- Autism Awareness Week
- Attending regional conferences in Behavior Analysis
- Graduate School preparation and invited speakers
- Fall carnival and other socials
- Car washes, bake sales, and other fundraisers
Become a Member
- Need to have a minumum GPA of a 2.0 and be in good standing with the university
- If you are a freshman, you must be enrolled in at least 12 credits
- Membership dues are $15.00 for the academic year, and $10.00 for just the spring semester
