Biography
I am originally from Oakland, California. I moved to Oklahoma in 1997, and completed my graduate degree at the University of Oklahoma. I am married, and have no children. In 1992 I received a Carl Albert Scholarship, which allowed me to work at the Department of Human Services in Oklahoma City. I served as a social worker for 3 or 4 years until I began to teach sociology courses at the University of Oklahoma. I have also taught courses at Oklahoma Community College.
Research Interests
I am interested in all types of stratification (inequality), and people's perceptions based on characteristics used to stratify societal members.
