All students wishing to enroll at the University must submit a completed application for admissions to the Admissions Office. Students may be required by the Admissions Office to complete placement testing in the areas of writing, reading, and mathematics.
Placement testing is offered several times throughout each semester and during registration. Students must make an appointment with Testing Office to take the placement test.
Students who have a documented disability (learning disability, ADD, psychological disorder, acquired brain injury, pervasive developmental disorder, sensory, medical or mobility impairment) may be eligible to receive appropriate reasonable test accommodations on standardized tests and in classes. If you would like to receive test accommodations contact Ameilia Castilian-Moore in the Counseling and Disabilities Office in the King-Frazier Complex, room 233. You may also call her at (912) 358-3115 or email at moorea@savannahstate.edu at least two (2) weeks prior to the test date. Students who choose to take the test without accommodations may not petition to retest based on a lack of disability accommodations.
