Program Description
Join Dr. Faries and spend July, 2013 learning about Afro-Brazilian culture on the coast of Brazil. In one of the most beautiful settings of the country, with its calm and crystalline waters, vast mangroves, sand banks and coral reefs, surrounded by the Atlantic Rainforest and infused with a rich and ancient hisotry, the All Saints' Bay is the cradle of Bahia, which takes its name after the bay, and whose charm and magic attracts visitors from all around the world. Its capital, Salvador, is known as "the cultural capital of Brazil", and as the birthplace of great artists, who have achieved worldwide renown. The area is rich in natural beauty and colonial architecture; seen in its stunning beaches and the churches, forts and mansions of the Pelourinho.

Cost: Anticipated $4,000.00
Cost includes roundtrip airfare, food, lodging, tuition for six credit hours, field trips and excursions, airport transfers, and travel insurance.
